Arsenal fans are facing a potentially huge headache over their home Europa League game on February 20.

The match has been moved to a 5:00pm kick-off on a Wednesday to avoid a clash with Chelsea’s tie.

Both London clubs won their respective groups meaning they will play the second legs at home.

Unai Emery’s Arsenal side will play at the inconvenient time of 5:00pm on a Wednesday

And as all Europa League games are played on a Thursday, Arsenal have been forced to move their fixture to a day earlier by UEFA so that two London clubs don’t play on the same night in accordance with official regulations.

The Blues will play their match on the scheduled date of Thursday February 21.

But Arsenal’s tie will start at the inconvenient time of 5:00pm to avoid overlapping with Champions League fixtures on the same night.

Gunners supporters may struggle to make it in time for kick-off as they come from work, meaning there could be plenty of empty seats at the Emirates.

Both Arsenal and Chelsea are awaiting their opponents for the first knockout round of the Europa League.
